Alondra Nelson Is Our 2026 Miles Conrad Awardee

We are pleased to announce that Alondra Nelson, Harold F. Linder Chair in the School of Social Science at the Institute for Advanced Study, is our 2026 Miles Conrad awardee. The award is named for the founder of the National Federation of Abstracting and Indexing Services (NFAIS), which merged with NISO in 2019, and recognizes distinguished lifetime achievement in moving us toward a world where all can benefit from the unfettered exchange of information. JATS-Con, the user conference for the NISO Z39.96-2021 Journal Article Tag Suite, will be held as a pre-conference day associated with the NISO Plus Baltimore conference on February 16, 2026, at the Marriott Waterfront. This year, presenters unable to join JATS-Con in Baltimore may participate virtually. (Please note that the main NISO Plus conference is an in-person event.)
