As our February NISO Plus conference approaches, we are delighted to share highlights from the draft program with you:

  • A full day of pre-conferences featuring two four-hour sessions on AI in scholarly communications as well as JATS-Con, the full-day users meeting for the Journal Article Tag Suite (JATS)
  • An opening keynote address from Brandie Nonnecke, expert in information and communication law, governance, and policy and Senior Director of Policy at Americans for Responsible Innovation
  • The Miles Conrad Award and Lecture, to be delivered by 2026 awardee Alondra P. Nelson
  • Sessions on metadata, peer review, authentication and identity, research integrity, and AI (governance, usage metrics, training AI systems, and use cases)
  • Interactive discussions geared toward identifying potential solutions to shared challenges
  • An evening of fun at the conference reception, to be held on the evening of Tuesday, February 17
