Danilo Reyes is a librarian who graduated from the Universidad de Playa Ancha (Chile) and holds a master’s in Information Processing and Management from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. Currently, he is pursuing a Ph.D. in Communication at Universitat Pompeu Fabra (Spain). His professional trajectory has been in information management in digital environments for academic institutions and international organizations. He works as a fellow, managing digital services at the WIPO Knowledge Center within the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO). Danilo also volunteers in Content Management for Research4Life, a global initiative that provides free or low-cost access to academic content for institutions in low- and middle-income countries.
I am very excited to participate in the NISO Plus Conference 2025 and to join the community as a Scholarship Awardee. I look forward to learning, sharing experiences, building collaborative networks, and generating new ideas for future projects. I am thrilled to be part of the NISO community.
Ashlea Green (she/her) is an Assistant Professor and Metadata Librarian at Appalachian State University, an R2 institution in the University of North Carolina system. Green specializes in cultural heritage and institutional repository (IR) metadata and co-manages the university’s new IR, which is currently in the staging phase. While she is eager to explore a range of topics relevant to her work and research, she is particularly interested in sessions focused on AI-driven improvements in metadata and discoverability, AI ethical concerns, user access and privacy, and open data repositories.
Gillian Equaras is an experienced Filipino-Canadian special librarian with a demonstrated history of working in the education management industry. After obtaining her Master’s of Information (MI) in Library and Information Science (LIS) from the University of Toronto’s iSchool, she has worked in various Canadian special libraries including banks, hospitals, choir schools, government and law firm libraries. Currently, she is a research librarian working at McMillian LLP, a top Canadian business law firm. Her other passions include partaking in racial diversity and inclusivity initiatives and enjoying the Toronto sports scene.
With the NISO Plus Baltimore 2025 conference providing amble discussion around artificial intelligence (AI), I am eager to contribute to the conversation, as well as learn from other information professionals. I look forward to actively engaging in the evolving discourse of AI in librarianship in Baltimore!
