Congratulations to our 2022 Awardees!

Each year, one of the NISO Plus conference highlights is our awards ceremony, where we introduce the new cohort of NISO Plus scholarship winners, recognize key community members for their service, and honor the recipient of the Miles Conrad Award — this year’s awardee is Dr. Patricia Flatley Brennan, Director of the National Library of Medicine. The Miles Conrad Award was established by NFAIS in 1965, to recognize the contributions of those whose lifetime achievements have moved the information community forward. Congratulations to the NISO Plus 2022 scholarship winners!

Like the conference itself, the NISO Plus scholarship program is now in its third year. Intended for anyone who feels that their voice and views are currently under-represented in the information community, the program is part of our strategic goal to improve diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility. This year’s scholarships are being supported by OCLC and, as always, deciding who — among so many strong candidates — should be awarded a scholarship was challenging.
