NISO Plus 2021 Content Now Openly Available

We’re delighted to announce that, six months on from NISO Plus 2021, we’re opening up the content for everyone to watch, use, share — and even cite! The 90 videos cover a wide range of important topics for the information community, from accessibility to standards in open research infrastructure, as well as NISO-specific content including an introduction to our organization by Executive Director Todd Carpenter and Associate Executive Director Nettie Lagace. Buy Five, Get Five Free — NISO Plus Group Discounts

As part of NISO’s ongoing commitment to increasing diversity, equity, and inclusion in our community, one of our key goals for NISO Plus 2021 was to enable much broader participation by information professionals from around the world and across all our stakeholder groups, including libraries, publishing organizations, and the service providers that support them. So we’re delighted to say that, as of today, around 550 people have registered for NISO Plus 2021, more than double the number who attended the in-person conference last year. NISO Plus 2021 Registration Now Open!

We are delighted to announce that NISO Plus 2021 (February 22-25, 2021) is now officially open for business — registration starts today, with an early-bird special for individual and group bookings alike that’s good through January 8!  Thanks to our generous sponsors, we have been able to keep rates affordable for everyone — from just $30 for early career, student, unemployed, and those from lower-income countries — to $115 for non-member earlybird individual tickets. Cory Doctorow to Keynote at NISO Plus 2021!

We’re thrilled to announce that the well-known science fiction author, activist, and journalist, Cory Doctorow, will be a keynote at NISO Plus 2021! In addition to being a prolific and highly successful writer of both fiction and non-fiction, Cory is also a special consultant to the Electronic Frontier Foundation, a non-profit civil liberties group that defends freedom in technology law, policy, standards and treaties. He holds an honorary doctorate in computer science from the Open University (UK), where he is a Visiting Professor; he is also a MIT Media Lab Research Affiliate and a Visiting Professor of Practice at the …
